Celebrating 16 years "Markt der Genüsse"

The "Markt der Genüsse" (market of delicates) at the City of Neustadt and its Heritage "Herrenhof" is the oldest marketplace for delicate and traditional food in southern Germany and has became an iconic cult event in the regional area. In 2011 over 50 selected exhibitors, from food manufacturers and small food companies, presented food specialities for the fourteenth time and we welcomed over 35.000 visitors.

 

During the Pentecost’s long weekend, from 26th to 28th of May 2012, the market of delicates will again offer its visitors the opportunity to inform themselves about very special and highly prepared goods, products, tastings and the same visitors will have the possibility to purchase them for own cooking ideas at home.
 
A great importance is given to the products’ quality and variety. The selection includes meat and sausages from all sorts animals, fresh fish specialities, dairy products, aromatic herbs, spices, sauces, spicy oils and vinegars, several handmade dips and relishes. From the best sweets confectioners will be presented the finest pralinés, chocolate products and truffle creations, beneath candies, cakes, tarts and delicious pastries. Offered will be also regional and international wines, spirits, tobacco products and a fine selection of “healthy and wellness” products.

 

The area of Neustadt, placed at the romantic german winestreet, is lovely called the "Tuscany of Germany" because of its climate and the romantic small villages. In the middle of this pictured place, the market naturally offers a taste of inhouse cooked mediterranean specialities, such as fresh homemade italian styled noodles, grilled and baced fine dinings and other southern european gastronomic and culinary arts. If visitors get appetite from smelling, tasting and looking, they can enjoy the variety full range of freshly prepared food: from rustic palatinate culinary classics through to refined cuisine, as well as good palatinate wines, beers and soft drinks.

 

Beside this the market will offer seminars about food and drinks and also the guided deli-tour over the market. For the seminars and the deli-tour there will be sold consumption-tickets.
